Desolate Planet - A Crash Landing Remake 1.7.0.0

beta25 ноября 2025 г.

1.7.0 is a major update split into two parts; structures and food. The structure changes are due to the excellent work of ULSTICK, and completely replace the old cities with new ones, as well as adding the new Matter-Energy Research Lab and Oil Rig structures. The food changes replace Harvestcraft with Farmer’s Delight and Spice of Overhaul with Diet, creating a simpler and more immersive food system.

ULSTICK

Migration Information:

Upon joining a world created before the update, the following changes will be made, permanently altering the game. I recommend backing up your world before loading the game on the new version in case there are migration issues.

  • All items from the Harvestcraft series of mods will be removed upon world loading.
    • Because most of the game’s food items will be removed, make sure you have a stable supply of non-Harvestcraft food before updating.
    • It may also be a good idea to stockpile dirt so you can sieve for the new seeds after the update.
  • All new cities that generate will be the updated type. This can result in generation errors for cities on the edge of generated terrain. I recommend deleting far away chunks from older worlds so you can regenerate them and explore the cities. Back up your world before doing this.
  • Functional Storage is now deprecated and will be removed in 1.8.0. All items from the mod have been made uncraftable and players should migrate to Limited Barrels from Sophisticated Storage instead.

Added Mods:

  • Diet
    • The Diet mod replaces the previous nutrition system. Each food now has a tooltip showing what nutrients it gives you, split into 5 different food categories; grains, proteins, vegetables, fruits, and sugars. Each have different statistics and effects.
Full food group details

Grains are the most important food group due to their slightly fast rate of gain and loss and their effect on movement, mining, and attack speed. You spawn with your grains meter at 50%. It has the following effects at different levels:

  • 0-10%:
    • Slowness III (-45% speed)
    • Mining fatigue II (-91% mining speed)
  • 10-20%:
    • Slowness 2 (-30% speed)
    • Mining fatigue I (-70% mining speed)
  • 20-40%:
    • Slowness I (-15% speed)
  • 60-80%:
    • Movement speed +5%
    • Attack speed +10%
    • Mining speed +10%
  • 80-100%:
    • Movement speed +10%
    • Attack speed +20%
    • Mining speed +20%

Proteins are the next most important food group due to their medium rate of gain and loss, and their effect on combat ability. You spawn with your protein meter at 50%. It has the following effects at different levels:

  • 0-10%:
    • Weakness III (-12 damage)
  • 10-20%:
    • Weakness II (-8 damage)
  • 20-40%:
    • Weakness I (-4 damage)
  • 40-60%:
    • Attack damage +1
  • 60-80%:
    • Attack damage +2
  • 80-100%:
    • Attack damage +4

Vegetables mostly affect your resistance to damage. This can be crippling, but the meter changes fairly slowly. You spawn with your vegetables meter at 60%. It has the following effects at different levels:

  • 0%:
    • Vulnerability III (+75% damage taken)
    • Blindness
    • Nausea
  • 0-10%:
    • Vulnerability II (+50% damage taken)
  • 10-20%:
    • Vulnerability I (+25% damage taken)
  • 20-40%:
    • Slowness I (-15% speed)
  • 60-80%:
    • Armor toughness +1
    • Knockback resistance +20%
  • 80-100%:
    • Armor toughness +2
    • Knockback resistance +40% Fruits affect your ability to regenerate. You spawn with your fruits meter at 70%, and the meter also decays fairly slowly, so you have some time before you’ll need to find more. It has the following effects at different levels:
  • 0-40%:
    • Disables natural regeneration
  • 90-100%:
    • Regeneration I

Sugars aren’t necessary since you can get your energy from other sources, but it can provide small bursts of energy. The meter has an extremely high rate of gain and loss and starts at 20%. When the bar reaches middle levels, there are some small speed buffs, but if the meter gets too high, it will have negative effects as well.

  • 40-60%:
    • Movement speed +5%
  • 60-80%:
    • Movement speed +10%
    • Mining speed +10%
  • 80-90%:
    • Movement speed +20%
    • Weakness I (-4 damage)
    • Hunger I
  • 90-100%:
    • Movement speed +40%
    • Weakness II (-8 damage)
    • Hunger II

Some effects apply to multiple food groups. The following apply when grains, protein, vegetables, and fruits each get to the specified level:

  • 0-10%:
    • Health -2
  • 80-90%:
    • Health +1
    • Armor toughness +0.5
  • 90-100%:
    • Health +2

Finally, some effects apply to a combination of food groups. The following effects apply when grains, protein, vegetables, and fruits all get to the specified level:

  • 0%:
    • Hunger II
  • 0-10%:
    • Hunger I
    • Health -2
  • 80-90%:
    • Health +1
    • Armor toughness +0.5
    • Luck +1

Desolate Planet - A Crash Landing Remake 1.6.0.0

beta27 октября 2025 г.

1.6.0 is another significant update that will break worlds. This update focuses on the migration away from the Survive mod and the switch to Cold Sweat and Thirst Was Taken, which are far more stable. This is not fully backwards compatible with 1.5.X and many items will be removed. BACK UP YOUR WORLDS before updating.

Migration Information:

Upon joining a world created before the update, the following changes will be made, permanently altering the game and breaking most Survive-related features from pre-1.6.X. If you want to play with an old world on the new version, BACK UP YOUR WORLD. This is very important!

  • All purified water in the game will be REMOVED on world loading
  • String armor will be removed on world loading

Added Mods:

  • Added Cold Sweat
    • Visit the mod’s documentation for full information about the new temperature system, but I’ll summarize below
      • Temperature indicator
        • Show above the hotbar
        • The center of the icon represents the player’s temperature
        • The area around that center represents the world temperature
        • A thermometer can be made to show specific numerical temperatures
      • Temperature mechanics
        • If the world temperature reaches over 100° F/38° C, the player’s temperature will start to rise and they will experience negative effects
        • The desert is 75° F/24° C at midnight and 105° F/40° C at noon
        • You can take shelter in the ship or other sources of shade to reduce the effects of temperature, and it is necessary to do this during the warmest hours of the day
        • You can insulate yourself from high temperatures with Desert Armor, Leather Insulation, or a Stillsuit (see Custom Items section below)
        • The deeper underground you get, temperature is affected less by the current time
    • Visit the mod’s in your options menu if you’d like to change your default temperature units from F to C
  • Added Thirst Was Taken
    • This replaces Survive with a new Thirst system
    • Water bottles now have 4 purity tiers:
      • Dirty
      • Slightly Dirty
      • Acceptable
      • Purified
    • The different tiers have different chances of giving you negative status effects
    • Purifying Water:
      • You can purify water 2 tiers by smelting it
      • You can quickly purify water 1 tier by using a water filter
      • You can use the Sand Filter to purify water using Create
      • Most machines that passes through machines will change its tier to acceptable automatically
    • You can make a Camel Pack to automatically drink (see Custom Items section below)
    • You can reduce your water consumption rate using a Stillsuit (see Custom Items section below)
  • Added Sync Forge, a new port of the sync mod that was forked from my version of Sync Fabric
    • This should fix a few bugs with the current version and removes the requirement for Fabric compatibility, making the mod more stable and lightweight
  • Added e4mc, now all worlds opened to LAN are hosted online (can be disabled)
    • This will allow for easier multiplayer game hosting (and reduce how much time I spend explaining server hosting mechanics to people)
  • Added AppleSkin back
    • If you experience framerate drops when holding food, go to the AppleSkin config and disable all entries that mention the HUD overlay.
  • Added CitReforged for custom water item textures
