Orevolution

An upgrade to minecraft's mining experience!

914
40

Orevolution overhauls most of Minecraft’s mining aspects with new ores, alloys, tool 'powers', and refined mechanics that make every tier feel meaningful again.
orevolution's support for 1.21.4 was dropped, but i'll be working on porting to newer versions, maybe even fabric

As of 3.0.0, Orevolution no longer is an mcreator mod.

Orevolution 2.0.2 Showcase by Smellcarberg:

Main features this mod offers:

(⚙ Means you can enable/disable/modify that feature)

(⚙) New ores:

  • Tin:
  • Platinum:
  • Tungsten:
  • Aethersteel:
  • Experience Ores:

While playing with Farmer's delight, knives for tin, platinum and aethersteel are loaded

While playing with Spelunkery, Ore variants for tin and platinum are loaded

(⚙) Plant ores:

Do you hate mining and would rather stay home with your farm, but would still want to upgrade your equipment? well, that's what plant ores are here for. These are unique variants of tin and platinum, allowing you to skip mining and just focus on something else

  • Livingstone & Verdite:

(⚙) Tools and armors powers:

Adds special characteristics (Which i call "Powers") to tools and armors. These powers will give more value to weaker tools, so that way you won't always think about getting stronger tools. Some powers also have explanations when you press Left Shift (WIP, Currently only applies to tin, which has the most 'complex' power)

List of powers:

Tin:
- Tools have a (Max of 30%) chance to duplicate most block drops
- Swords have a 30% chance to cause poison on hit

Iron:
- Tools break Deepslate, Planks and Dirt blocks faster (I'll replace this power soon)
- Swords have a 40% chance to increase mob loot

Gold:
- Tools increase their durability while enchanted
- Swords cause Weakness on hit

Platinum:
- Tools have a 25% chance to avoid durability damage on use
- Swords cause Weakness and Poison to Undead Mobs on hit

Aethersteel:
- Tools have a 5% chance to avoid durability damage on use and also have a (Max of 15%) chance to triplicate block drops
- Swords have a 70% chance to grant you Regeneration on hit and also have a 10% chance to triplicate mob loot

Livingstone:
- Tools have a 40% chance to increase most crop drops
- Swords have a 10% chance to grant you Saturation

Verdite:
- Tools have a 60% chance to increase most crop drops 2 times in a row
- Swords have a 20% chance to grant you Saturation

Steel:
- Tools breaks blocks in a 3x3 area
- Swords/Scythes will cause Crushed on hit

While playing with Oreganized, electrum will have tool/sword powers
While playing with Caverns & Chasms, silver and necromium will have tool/sword powers

(⚙) New progression:

Expands the original tool progression, so now you're forced to obtain tin and platinum if you want to get better equipment.

Metal Alloys:

  • Bronze:
  • Steel:

(⚙) Modified durability:

All tools now have a different durability, so instead of being a seemingly random (and by random i mean it doesn't make any sense) amount, they can break a certain amount of stack of blocks before breaking

List of durabilities:

Wood: 64 uses (1 stack)
Gold: 128 uses (2 stacks)
Stone: 192 uses (3 stacks)
Tin: 256 (4 stacks)
Iron: 448 uses (7 stacks)
Plat: 768 uses (12 stacks)
Diamond: 1600 uses (25 stacks)
Netherite: 2432 uses (38 stacks)
Aethersteel: 3520 uses (55 stacks)

(⚙) Harvest Level tooltip:

Tools will now have a tooltip that hints the next material you can obtain.

(⚙) Can't harvest text & Safe ore breaking:

A little display text will appear if the current block can't be broken. Also, ores won't be broken if you're mining them with the wrong tool.
